THE PROPHETIC PAINTING

We are so grateful to the Lord, for the many ways He brings encouragement to us as we serve Him.

Sometime ago I woke up early one morning with a prophetic picture in my mind and spirit. I knew this was what God wanted for Malta. It was a picture I had to paint, so others could see the vision and help to work and pray it into being.

It was a vision of an angel pouring oil all over the Islands of Malta. The oil was flowing over the rocks and the ancient temple sites. It was flowing over the areas where people (those from malta and those from other nations).

I asked the Lord what colour the oil was and He impressed in my heart that it was the colour of honey. The scriptures tell us that God’s words are sweeter than honey - Psalm 119:103; HOW SWEET ARE YOUR WORDS TO MY TASTE, SWEETER THAN HONEY TO MY MOUTH.

In Deuteronomy 32:13 we read HE NOURISHED HIM WITH HONEY FROM THE ROCK.

Malta got its name from the colour of the rock! Melita (found in the King James version of the Bible) means honey. When the sun shines on the rocks and buildings they become a lovely golden hue (especially in the evenings).

We also know from the scriptures that God’s Word is powerful and life-changing. Our hearts can be washed and purified by the Word of God. This is what I believe God desires for Malta, that His living Word will flow out, anointed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to turn hearts and lives fully to the Lord Jesus Christ.

During the painting of the picture I knew I had to include ancient gates that were opened up. These open gates indicate that the King of Glory will come in and complete His work.

Please pray with us for God’s vision for Malta to be fulfilled.

Take a look at the painting and consider the greatness of the Lord our God. His heart of love longs to heal, restore and bring righteousness, hope and peace to the precious people in these Islands. If you live here, why not make that commitment to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ. If you are from another nation then pray for God to give you a vision too. He has a special plan and purpose for your life.
